After dropping back at the beginning, 2017 Battery Tender Global Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by BFGoodrich Tires champion Patrick Gallagher (No. 29 McCumbee McAleer Racing) edged out friend and former roommate Robby Foley (No. 54 Hooverspeed) for a seventh season victory. The win was secured by a minimal .510-seconds, while closing out Friday’s MX-5 round, as the IMSA circus starting its final Mazda Raceway weekend of the 2017 IMSA campaign.
