BILSTEIN-sponsored racers are having a great champion off-road racing season, starting with a record-setting performance by Gray Leadbetter. On June 4, Leadbetter became the first female to win a professional CHAMP Off-Road race in the PRO SPEC class — and she used BILSTEIN shocks to do it.
Team BILSTEIN racers brought in more big finishes this month at the ERX Motor Park. Competing on BILSTEIN shocks, Jerrett Brooks came in third in the PRO 2 class at the AMSOIL Championship Off-Road July 15-16. Brooks placed 10th on Saturday, and now sits in second place overall for the season.
Other BILSTEIN-sponsored racers had strong performances over the weekend as well: Doug Mittag came in sixth on Friday and fourth on Saturday, and now sits in seventh place overall.
Mickey Thomas placed 11th on Friday but bounced back into fifth place Saturday. He now sits in fifth place overall for the season, just one point away from tying for fourth. Ryan Beat finished 13th on Friday but came back strong on Saturday with a second-place finish, and now sits in sixth place overall.
BILSTEIN-sponsored racers compete on BILSTEIN M 9200 Series Bypass or BILSTEIN M 9200 Coilover shock absorbers. The Bypass shocks are position-sensitive and adjustable, offering multiple zones of damping control, and Coilover shocks are made with aerospace-class materials and engineered to the tightest tolerances.
Up next in the series is track 4, set for July 30-31 at Dirt City Motorplex in Lena, Wisconsin.

When August Bilstein laid the foundations for the innovation incubator BILSTEIN in Altenvoerde in Germany’s Westphalia region in 1873, nobody had any idea of the crucial influence the company’s products would one day have on the driving comfort and safety of cars. Now, the name BILSTEIN has for many decades been closely associated with high tech in the field of suspension design, driving comfort and safety. In order to expand this position in the future, BILSTEIN became a division of ThyssenKrupp Technologies AG in 1988, and a wholly-owned subsidiary in 2005.
